Working Principle:

GHL High Shear Mixer Granulator is designed for high speed dispersion of dry powders or wet granulation in a variety of industries like pharmaceuticals, chemicals, cosmetics, food and beverage etc. 

GHL High Shear Mixer Granulator consists of a vertical mixing bowl, bottom placed agitating impeller and side installed choppers. When materials are fed into the mixing bowl, the specially designed rotating impeller pushes the material onto the inner wall. Under the effect of centrifugal force, the material moves up alongside the wall to form a swirl flow. At the same time, the side installed high-speed chopper completely shear and chop the materials to get uniform mixing. 

Liquid binder can be added or sprayed into the bowl, so powders stick together to form lumps. The high speed chopper constantly shear and pulverize the lumps into uniformly distributed, compact granules.This process is called " high shear wet granulation". 

Technical Features:

• Strong and fast mixing/granulation: Strong and fast mixing can be achieved due to effective bottom-drive design and variable speed of agitating impeller and chopper.
• High-degree of homogeneity: When material is added at the rate of 0.1%, the homogeneity can reach 98% in short time without lumps or agglometations. 
• Liquid spray nozzle: Spray nozzle can be equipped as an option to add liquid binder which can be evenly sprayed onto the powders for granulation. 
• Automatic discharging valve: The combined discharge valve is pneumatic plane flap valve. The flap plate can perfectly match the mixing bowl inner wall to make sure no blind angle for mixing. 
• Sanitary design: Made by SUS304 or SUS316 stainless steel and mirror polished for high sanitary standard. The bowl has no blind angle for cleaning and the shaft is air-sealed to avoid contamination.
