Working Principle:

SZL Dome Extruder Granulator is axial extruder with unique extrusion head and conical die (screen). The wet mix, which is typically prepared in a sigma kneader or high shear mixer, is gravity fed into the hopper by hand or feeder. The single or twin screws transport the wet mix to the extrusion zone  where it is then wiped through a conical die (screen) to produce well formed, cylindrical extrudates of a controlled diameter. The extrudates break off by their own weight and are collected for the next processing step.  

SZL Dome Extruder Granulator is ideal for making cylindrical granules (0.3-2mm in diameter) in agrochemical industry (WDG and WSG) , food industry (yeast, sugar sprinkles etc.) and pharmaceutical industry. 

Technical Features:

• Low pressure extrusion with negligible heat generation due to unique design of conical die (screen) and extrusion head.
• The hole size of conical die (screen) can be 0.3-2mm. And it's easy to change the die. 
• All the extrusion parts are made by SUS304 or SUS316L stainless steel and can be easily dismantled for cleaning. 
• Special drive shaft sealing design can 100% make sure contamination free of product.
• Robust,simple and compact design requires minimum maintenance. 
• Both single and double screw extruder are available.
